We have passed through the portal of the final New Moon of Samhaintide, and deep Winter comes ever-closer. This week calls for us to practice flexibility, adaptability, and surrender to the flow.
There is a pervading sense of malaise, scarcity, and hardship in the air. But is it really here yet? Has it truly crossed the threshold and landed in your own home, or is it instead a nebulous idea blowing around, loudly, outside of your boundary line?
If it has arrived, know that this is a call to persevere, to carry on through the difficulties, to keep doing your best. Don’t give up! No matter what, this is a reminder to offer gratitude for the blessings you *do* have right now and for the resources available to you, small or large. When your Primal Self rises up in anxiety or fear, it’s okay to take a big, grounding breath and lovingly say, “In this moment, all is well.”
No matter which situation you find yourself in this week, preservation is called for: of self, of energies, of supplies, assets, and reserves. Just for now, step outside of the frenetic greater world and into the still sanctity of your home, both physical and metaphorical. Rest here in coziness, knowing that you are but a bright speck of cosmic energy, ever-learning, ever-transforming. You were born for this moment. All will be well.
