Lunar Blessings, Beloveds,
The Wheel has spiraled us forward into the Season of Quickening once again, and our community is slowly emerging from our winter of rest and respite.
We are entering a time of awakening into awareness, of newness and freshness. What will you bring into this new Sisterhood of the Moon year, our sixteenth year of circling together?
Change has blessed us and our Motherhouse is returning our primary focus to our roots of offering Moon Circles in Her name. These rituals mark not only the passage of the lunar tides, they also serve as holy reminders, as sacred guideposts, helping us to discover ways in which we can recenter ourselves upon our magickal pathway and in our life missions.
All women are lovingly invited to join us in our Temple home in Hayward, CA on the evening of Saturday, February 1st for our 16th Annual Imbolc High Holyday Rite of Dedication & Initiation, a powerful and profound annual ceremony. Our Tradition began in 2010 with this Women’s Lunar Rite!
Dear Ones, who are you now? Where do you want to go? What do you wish community support in birthing this year? What are your body, mind, heart, soul and spirit calling out for?
Come home, my Sisters, and make vows to yourself for this new year surrounded in loving and compassionate sisterhood. Come home, my Sisters, and celebrate yourself and your community!
I am happy to share that there also will be a distance version of this ritual open to all within our Astral Temple beginning on Lunar Imbolc, January 29th, available through the Total Lunar Eclipse of March 13th. If you cannot meet us in person, please join us there, Dear Ones!
Happy 15th Birthday, Sisterhood of the Moon!
I am grateful to all who have brought us to this place—past, present, and future. Thank you for being here with me, Beloveds. I will meet you under her silvery rays.
Remember always: Your presence matters.
You belong. You are loved.
With Love at the Center,

Imbolc
As the Earth prepares for Spring,
Wise Women gather in circles to await the promise of new life,
And to sing praises for the green earth.
And so do we, here now,
This year, and every year.
~excerpted from Jill Yarnall
The light is slowly growing and the Earth Mother is beginning her yearly rising. Imbolc approaches and it is time once again for us to gather around the Altar of Brigid to make our Dedications for the new Sisterhood of the Moon year.
Let us converge in sacred space to honor ourselves and one another for where we are at this moment in time, in The Holy Moment of Now. Come home and be welcomed with joy into this holy Rite of Imbolc, this blessed time of purification, transformation, dedication, and initiation.
What do you wish to Dedicate to for this next Wheel, Dear Sister? Here are some things to consider:
Is there a Goddess calling your name? Is there an Element of Life (Air, Fire, Water, or Earth) asking for your attention? Are you ready to Dedicate or re-Dedicate yourself as a Witch? To our Sisterhood of the Moon Tradition and/or Motherhouse community? Do you wish to take a new magickal name? Or will you choose to instead hold space and bear holy witness to your Sisters, offering support as they make their own Dedications?
Join us as we encourage and affirm one another, and in grateful celebration of the birthday of our Sisterhood and the beginning of another turn of our Tradition’s Wheel.
Note: Although the primary focus of this ritual is upon women making Dedications, it is not required that you make a Dedication if you are not so called. You are most welcome to attend this rite to receive love and joy, and in support of open-hearted sisterhood.
This ritual takes considerable preparation; please register here in order to receive the ritual instructions.
So that we can plan the ritual to best support all Celebrants, we need to hear individually via email from each Sister who plans to attend. Please plan to submit your Dedication intentions no later than Sunday, January 26th.
This is an women-only ritual.
Registering for this Holy Rite is your sacred assertion
that you are and live as a woman in this world.
Lady Jesamyn Angelica is First Priestess for this ritual; please contact her with your questions or concerns. RSVP by making your Tribute here; in the optional “Write a note” field, please indicate which gathering you are registering for and be sure to include your name and email address. No social media messages or texts, please.
We do not offer “drop-in” rituals—please do not show up at circle if you haven’t registered directly with us.
Because all of our rites are planned specifically for the women who register, there are no refunds, credits, or exchanges once your registration has been received. This policy represents the respect and value we hold for the work of our community’s Priestesses.
This ritual begins our new Sisterhood Year, the Year of Reclaiming Our Roots. In addition to working with these energies, our Tradition’s theme for February is the Month of Emerging.
Even if you cannot attend this particular gathering, we very much appreciate any connections you can help to foster between our Sisterhood and those we have not yet met. Please forward this invitation to interested women of integrity or send them to our website to sign up to receive invitations to future gatherings.
If you are interested in deepening your experience with our Motherhouse community, you are warmly invited to participate in our Book Club. Under the loving guidance of Belladonna Priestess-Initiate StephCrow, we will begin reading My Name is Morgan by Sophie Keech. For the month of February please join us in reading Chapters 1-3.
